Mid-Level Deployment Engineer (Remote) Basic Information Name: Mid-Level Deployment Engineer (Remote) Job ID: 5065 Posting Locations: King of Prussia, PA Job Type: full-time Status: Regular Category: Individual Contributor Description and Requirements JOB SUMMARY: The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting our deployment systems used for various software application across public cloud environments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement deployment process automation to support product releases and system configurations across different environments. Deploy software releases across public cloud environments and support build configurations for packaging software. Participate in ongoing design, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems and tools across entire cloud stack to support ongoing sprint effort and product upgrades. Continually improve automation tools, processes, and procedures through documentation and best practices. Ability to troubleshoot deployment failures and provide enhanced solution for improved handling. Implement reusable components and participate in planning to translate deployment requirements into work unit in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with development teams to implement the roadmap. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong communication skills - verbal and written - with the ability to collaborate within a team and across organizations Strong experience with deployment tools such as Octopus, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. Knowledge of systems administration in a variety of environments - Linux, Windows, virtualized, and cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) Broad knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, change and configuration management practices Experience delivering infrastructure as code using automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible Working knowledge of RDBMS - SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc. Knowledge of .NET Architecture I Web Deployments I IIS I Services, Tasks and Permissions Basic knowledge of Web servers /clients & REST/SOAP web interfaces Solid experience managing environments from development to production Experience in scripting languages. Python, shell, Ruby, etc. Experience working in an Agile development environment Desired experience supporting Software as a Service (SaaS) environments including deployment and management in various cloud environments Understanding of security best practices when managing environments, applications, and CI/CD processes Document and test backup and recovery of data, configurations, systems and applications in the environment Participate in an on-call rotation in support of the production environment. Performing occasional off-hours or weekend work as needed. EDUCATION, TRAINING: 5+ years of experience in technology related roles 3+ years of experience supporting customer facing systems and services. 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.
