Position Purpose: This role is part of Communication as a Service (CaaS) group that's responsible for generating and delivering outbound print and electronic communications. This team supports greenfield application development on AWS Public Cloud, to build Next Generation platform for CaaS. Responsible for application deployment, automation, metrics & reporting and production support for CaaS AWS Cloud platform. The team supports the migration of on-prem composition systems into AWS Cloud based systems and the overall workflow and orchestration surrounding the migration. Plan and direct the daily activities of a team focused on a particular system or technology. Liaison with managers in IT and other functions, applying standard solutions and processes. Apply specific technical expertise in depth to address technical and business issues. Education/Experience: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. + 5+ years of related IT experience. + Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience including hiring, training, assigning work and managing the performance of staff. Preferred Skills/Experience: + Three years hands-on experience with application development & deployment on AWS Public Cloud computing platform + Experience on AWS Serverless platforms & Infrastructure as Code tools + Lambda, SQS, SNS, Eventbridge, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, Cloud Formation templates, SAM CLI + Experience with implementing Observability, Metrics dashboards, alarms and alerts to act on potential SLA, SLO breaches using existing or custom tools + Experience with AWS Cloud Security & Security Products (Firewall, Web Gateways, Proxies). + Experience with Cloud Strategy, Design, Architecture and Migration. + Experience with implementing Golang applications, preferably on AWS Cloud and Event driven architecture application using Kafka as message bus. + Experience with implementing Microservices based architecture on container technologies (Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Docker, Rancher etc) + Experience with Orchestration tools like Flowable is highly desirable. + Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Scrum/Kanban mode. JIRA & JIRA Align experience is highly desirable. + Client side web application development (Angular, Javascript, Human Centered Design) is desirable + Strong foundation with Git and Gitlab, experience with one or more CI/CD platforms. + Understanding of fault tolerant system implementations with controls, procedures, tools to troubleshoot and reprocess system failures, Disaster Recovery. + AI and Machine Learning skills are desirable. + Hiring, onboarding, leading and mentoring of developer, devops, tester resources. + Strong communication skills and soft skills. + Ability to adapt quickly to change in priorities.
