Remote, Work from home, United States Evernorth is hiring a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer. Primary technologies used are Spark, Data Bricks (AWS or Azure). Responsibilities: + Work with business and technical leadership to understand requirements + Should be able to demonstrate work experience in Hadoop, Spark, hive + Should have strong hands-on cloud experience with AWS suite + Should have strong development experience on Databricks components + Strong hands-on experience on Spark is must + Must have work experience on Hadoop as data warehouse/Data Lake implementations + Will be asked to demonstrate coding + Participate in sprint planning sessions and help TPOs + Strong experience on DevOps pipeline implementation + Troubleshooting the issues, provide effective solutions and application monitoring in productions environment + Willing to take more responsibilities as needed + Moderate to senior Terraform development experience needed + Health care domain knowledge is a plus Requirements: + Strong development experience in Spark, Python, Shell scripting, PostgreSQL, and Hadoop + AWS (S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Lambda, ECS, Glue, IAM, and CloudWatch) + Databricks (Delta Lake, Notebooks, Pipelines, cluster management, Azure/AWS integration) + In depth knowledge on Hadoop architecture and its components + Troubleshooting the Hadoop Yarn jobs is must + Strong experience in writing complex and effective SQLs, and Stored Procedures + Strong query optimizations skills to improve performance of ETL process + Implement Hadoop job orchestration using Shell scripting, and Airflow + Experience in Agile and working knowledge on DevOps tools (Git, Maven, Jankins, Sonar Cube, and Checkmarks) + Unix Shell scripting and basic administration of Unix servers + Experience in Jira and Confluence + Must participate in production support model Desired: + Master's Degree or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering + Experience working in IVR environments, implementing AI solutions for E-mail and text-based platforms + Exposure to graph databases + Working knowledge of cloud solutions like AWS, Azure, GCP If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 121,900 - 203,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
