Cast & Crew is seeking an experienced Lead UX Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be working alongside product managers and our Director of UX to implement new design systems and functionality for our Advertising Talent product. You’ll be the sole designer of on our nimble Product team, which includes six product managers, an innovation leader, a Director of Product, a Director of UX, and our Head of Product.

As Lead UX Designer, you will be simplifying complex workflows into intuitive, innovative, and user-centric designs that meet both business objectives and user needs. Chiefly, you will be taking our clients’ traditional workflows, and transforming them into a modern, seamless, and elegant digital experience. As you’ll be joining a lean team, you will also be responsible for planning and executing the user research to validate new experiences and drive the perfect balance between new and usable. The Lead UX Designer will report to the Director of UX- ALES.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ideate and design innovative workflow solutions in support of our Advertising Talent product
  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive UX design strategy that aligns with business goals, user needs, and the overall product and UX vision; work closely with fellow designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate design into the overall product development process
  • Conduct user research studies to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, as well as preferred experiences; analyze data and insights to inform design decisions and improvements
  • Plan and conduct usability testing to gather feedback and validate design decisions; iterate on designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
  • Lead the creation of personas, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions
  • Oversee and uphold consistency and coherence across all aspects of the user interface
  • Partner with Director of UX as subject matter experts on user-focused ideology; mentor a growing team on best practices, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment
  • Collaborate with marketing, product marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a consistent user experience across all touchpoints.
  • Create and maintain design documentation, including design specifications, guidelines, and design systems. Stay current on all WCAG Accessibility guidelines and how to implement and execute.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field; or relevant certification or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of product design experience, with proven experience ideating new design system components
  • Previous experience defining, developing, and documenting UX design requirementsfor complex workflow products
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead projects from concept to delivery and ongoing improvementin Agile-frameworks
  • Empathic and visionary designer; able to design new solutions that proactively help, streamline, and simplify workflows for our clients
  • Proficient in multiple methods of user research
  • Strong understanding of discoverability, adoption and usage analytics, and attribution models with the ability to partner with development and product teams in success measure ideation
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead and innovate across teams and organizations
  • Experience mentoring other product and user experience professionals
  • Portfolio demonstrating user experience activities, processes, and deliverables
  • Advanced skill with design tools, such as Figma
  • Familiarity executing Accessibility requirements and guidelines, WCAG

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of payroll, talent rights management, and entertainment industry highly preferred
  • Experience with mobile app design, payroll, or employee-facing technology a plus
  • UX Accessibility Certification
  • Experience working with Pendo or similar adoption metrics tracking system

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

The compensation range for this position is:

$145,000$165,000 USD
