Responsibilties: Responsible for development, implementation, and analysis of compensation programs for the sales force, in alignment with strategic goals and objectives, including compensation analysis and design, calculation of payments, trend and cost analysis. Directs, advises, creates, develops, analyzes and implements various compensation programs and program changes. Coordinates efforts across a large body of constituents (wealth management, information technology, legal, finance, etc.) to: effect well-thought out and complex FP compensation and support programs, program changes. increase accuracy and efficiency in cross-departmental functions such as accounting and controls, financial reporting and reconciliation. Development and maintenance of contracts, schedules, and field bulletins. Conducts research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues, develops formal recommendations for presentation to management. Works with stakeholders to generate solutions to business issues and then develops and executes implementation plans for those solutions. Examples include: (a) improved Collective POP reconciliation reporting which reduced the fallout on the balance sheet, increased controls, and has expedited reconciliation (b) EXP hires with Network POP rates paid incorrectly, discovered issue, work with EXP team, Crump and Field Compensation Administration to pinpoint population. Analyzing impact, developing communication strategy, and procedure with controls to ensure accurate processing and payout for future EXPs. Analyzes current processes, creates process improvements to increase accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency. Directs the planning, administration, and development of policies, practices, and guidelines. Provides counsel, investigates solutions, coordinates resolution and responds to inquiries/issues that were escalated because of the level of complexity. Provides advice to management on policies, practices, and guidelines - including the design of creative solutions to complex issues. Provides litigation support and research to legal and/or debt team. Provides ongoing education and/or training to administration & operations teams, colleagues within Compensation Analysis and Design team and the sales force. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Compensation Analysis and Design principles and practices. Extensive knowledge of retail operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of organizational management. Expert knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws and regulations. Ability to think and plan strategically. Excellent analytical skills, solution oriented. Qualifications Skills required to ensure your success include: Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Other Qualifications: Intermediate problem solving skills. Familiarity with Wealth Management Field Organization principles and practices, including field operations structure and business objectives, a plus. Strong math/statistical, verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of spreadsheet applications. 2-4 years experience. Ability to management multiple projects, Bachelors degree. The base salary range for this position is $84,000 to $122,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
