About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head our newly established Incubator Division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in venture building, technology leadership, executive management, or similar roles. The Incubator Lead will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our internal innovation program, conceptualizing and developing promising blockchain projects, and providing strategic guidance to help them thrive in the market. If you possess a deep understanding of the Web 3.0 ecosystem, including blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, and decentralized systems, and have a proven track record of developing high-potential ventures, then we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our internal venture-building initiative, identifying and developing the most promising blockchain projects with the potential to become successful products or companies.
- Guide each venture team, providing a clear roadmap, budget management tools, and comprehensive support from various groups within our organization.
- Cultivate a stimulating and collaborative environment where venture teams can thrive and translate their innovative ideas into reality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including tech, legal, and finance departments, to ensure the smooth development of our venture projects.
- Continuously assess the industry landscape to identify new opportunities and strategic directions that benefit our venture-building program.
- Develop and validate business models for tech ventures, with a focus on financial viability.
- Design and implement venture architecture frameworks.
- Conduct market analysis and financial modeling for proposed ventures.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new tech initiatives.
- Present venture proposals and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Must Haves:
- Deep understanding of the Web 3.0 ecosystem, with a focus on blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, and decentralized systems.
- Experience conceptualizing and developing high-potential ventures, ideally within the tech or blockchain space.
- Adept project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward success.
- Proven experience as a Venture Architect in a corporate innovation setting.
- Strong background in financial analysis and modeling.
- Experience in management consulting or investment banking will be an added advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking and business case development skills.
- Proficiency in financial valuation methods for tech ventures.
Nice to Haves:
- Entrepreneurial experience: First-hand experience in ideation, building and scaling in a Venture Studio set-up, particularly in the blockchain or technology sector, would provide valuable insights and credibility when developing internal ventures.
- Global perspective: Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders across different geographies and cultures would be valuable in developing projects with global potential.
- Technical expertise: While not a mandatory requirement, a strong technical background in blockchain development, distributed systems, or related fields would enable the Incubator Lead to better assess the technical feasibility and potential of internal projects.
- Experience with tokenomics and crypto-economic models.
- Familiarity with venture capital processes and startup ecosystems.
- Understanding of regulatory landscapes affecting Web 3.0 technologies.
- MBA or equivalent, preferably with a technical undergraduate degree.
- 8+ years of combined experience in consulting, finance, and tech innovation.
- Agile project management experience in a rapid innovation environment.
