Updater, Inc. is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Frontend Engineer with experience in React and TypeScript to join the Customer Pod team within the MoveHQ division of Updater. This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years of frontend development experience who is eager to contribute to building user-friendly, scalable, and innovative interfaces.

About the Role

  • Develop User Interfaces: You will contribute to the design and development of frontend applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
  • Collaborate on UI/UX Design: Work closely with UX designers to translate design concepts and wireframes into functional and appealing interactive applications.
  • Optimize Application Performance: Focus on enhancing frontend performance by optimizing components for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Engage in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and encourage best practices across the development team.

About You

  • Skilled in Frontend Development: You have 2-4 years of experience in frontend development, particularly with React and TypeScript. You are familiar with modern frontend development practices and can effectively implement responsive design.
  • Understanding of UX Principles: While direct experience in UX design isn’t required, an understanding of UX principles and their importance in product development is beneficial.
  • Collaborative and Adaptable: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working closely with both designers and backend developers to achieve polished end results.
  • Proactive Learner: You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Agile Environment Familiarity: Experience working in an agile development environment, comfortable participating in sprints and agile ceremonies using tools like Jira.

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus, as it will aid in efficiently handling data between the frontend and backend.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is expected.
  • An interest in participating in user testing sessions to gather feedback and refine user interfaces.

The new hire salary range for this position is $90,000 to $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect the starting pay within this range include skills, experience, and other qualifications aligned with Updater’s internal leveling guidelines.
