Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead projects and initiatives on the Credit Engineering team, responsible for building the credit platform that manages and optimizes the core decisioning systems that govern value exchange between merchants, consumers and Affirm, in all of our products.
The nuts and bolts of managing credit risk at scale – the credit platform powers consumer-facing credit experiences. The team’s mission is to build and maintain a system that supports efficient decisioning, easy experimentation across the product suite, and the creation of optimal offers for consumers. Areas of focus include latency, decision accuracy, and speed of delivery.
The Credit Engineering team partners closely with Product, the Credit business team, and Machine Learning engineering teams to deliver honest and transparent financial products that help deliver values to all parties in the Affirm ecosystem via providing financing services. As we scale the company to be a cornerstone of all ecommerce and offline retail, it is an exciting time to join the team which sits at the core of this mission.
Base Pay Grade – P
Equity Grade – 13
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)
USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $225,000 – $275,000
USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $200,000 – $250,000
