Director - Data Science Development (Remote)

Reporting to the Chief Data & AI Officer the Director of Data Science Development directs and provides leadership for Data Science application development function including new product enablement and application enhancement. The Director oversees all aspects of Availity's Data Science development life cycle including design, prototyping, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of advanced statistical and machine learning solutions. They also manage the development and translation of business requirements into functional specifications for internal and external clients. They anticipate and analyze new trends in technology, assess the impact of emerging technologies on the business, provide solutions to address technology and business issues, and manage financial and technology resources of the company while ensuring the development of high-quality technology solutions. The Director is the primary liaison between the data science development team and all other business groups including engineering, information management, product management, product services, and senior management and will be called upon to serve in multiple roles in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial corporate environment. Director responsibilities to include hiring, goal setting, appraisal, development, and day-to-day coaching. The Director will also be required to carry out other duties, projects, or activities as specified by their management. Sponsorship, in any form, is not available for this position.
