The SAP Business Network (“SBN”) is a key differentiator as we shift SAP’s focus to the cloud. The SBN is already the world’s largest business network with over 8 million network participants and $3.6 trillion in annual commerce. As a strategic investment area for SAP, we are poised to extend our dominant position by deepening penetration and cultivating a more vibrant network.

This role will join the SBN Chief Operating Officer and help in driving strategic initiatives and programs to grow the network. With the SAP Board investment and focus, this role and team charter will be fluid, vibrant, evolving, part of a growing team, and will require a high level of effort.

With a focus on data, the COO team has a leading role in the Corporate Planning process, GTM Strategy and operational excellence. The Revenue Operations role specifically, works with different organizations across SAP, such as the Operations team and the rest of the SAP Business Networks developing programs to drive towards the SBN priorities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead Supplier revenue forecasting and support the overall Business Networks Corporate Planning and interlock with the regions.
  • Work with the finance and controlling business partners to set targets and operational budgets
  • Act as the Service Offering Manager responsible for the success of the assigned portfolio of services.
  • Focus on Cost of cloud reduction / efficiencies management
  • Lead the T&E and HC management process
  • Implement the appropriate reporting tools and control functions
  • Help ensure the organization adheres to its P&L and Revenue targets
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing support of OKRs/ KPIs and help steer the business
  • Put in the place standard reporting processes
  • Monitor and increase operational and organizational efficiency
  • Align with Operations leads within SBN
  • Help coordinate communication & reporting to main stakeholders of the business
  • Monitor and increase operational and organizational efficiency
  • Support network supplier growth executives with strategic analysis of growth areas in new markets and geographies, and by leveraging ecosystem partners.

What are we looking for?

This role is high exposure to the SAP Business Network executive leadership team, so a general capacity to interact both from a personality and strategic viewpoint at this level is a requirement. Given SAP Business Network’s unique and new operating environment within the larger SAP family of companies, a strong understanding of the enterprise software space would be a great asset.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

  • 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in business development, commercial / go-to-market role
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree / MBA preferred
  • Business fluent in English, additional language preferred.
  • Business consultant with excellent ability to articulate and execute on vision/strategy
  • Strategic thinker, high degree of creativity and innovation, passionate about leading end-to-end initiatives from ideation to execution
  • Deep understanding of cloud, SaaS models, cloud-based commerce / business networks
  • Experience in working at large organizations, understanding cultural nuances, and managing multiple diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix
  • Ability to drive sales & demand transformation
  • Strategic thinking & highly developed analytical skills
  • Deep knowledge of how SAP operates and drives “Land, Adopt, Consume & Expand”
  • Experience working in and around network or cloud software solutions and cloud delivery models along with deep understanding of cloud readiness, characteristics, challenges, and benefits
  • Experience working with SAP Business Networks and Network Suppliers, a plus sales savvy & able to identify new opportunities for customer to leverage new or expanded SAP solutions
  • Deep understanding of LoB products, relationships with solution management organization and related partner ecosystem as appropriate
  • Detailed understanding of navigating SAP’s support processes, Organization(s) and tools (e.g., Customer Engagement Workplace, Totango, CRM, functionality adoption reporting etc.)

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 159,100 – 342,600 USD.
