The Business Analyst Senior will be reporting in to Director of Contract Performance to support Plan's Business Owners by collaborating with Enterprise Analytics to document and validate contractual reporting deliverables. This role will focus on analysis and validation of reports, write functional requirements supporting the SDLC lifecycle from initiation, design, testing, and deployment. A strong analytical background and experience in the healthcare insurance industry is required. Responsibilities: + Responsible for following project methodology, performing research, analysis, functional design, issue tracking, implementation coordination and issue resolution for assigned tasks. + Required to perform complex analysis and gain a thorough understanding of the current processes. + Will work with supervision and responsible for following appropriate emergency and escalation procedures. + Required to make formal recommendations, presentations and submitting written documentation to Plan leadership and management for review and approval. + Must be capable of sharing knowledge, documentation and experience with others. + Strong team player who operates effectively in a team environment as well as individually. + Must be able to synthesize large amounts of data into presentable and actionable formats for project teams, management and business owners. + This position takes a proactive role in learning business processes, system impacts and business ramifications. + Assures the comprehensiveness and accuracy of documentation delivered to sufficiently support recommended actions, business requirements and continued maintenance. Education/ Experience: + Minimum 5 to 7 years of work experience with Information Systems, Analytics or related business area. + 6 years of work experience performing complex business analysis, working within a structured SDLC process, and system implementations. + At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and validation with advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Access, and Tableau. + Minimum of 3 years of ETL experience, SAS and SQL. + Bachelor's Degree B.S. in Business Administration, Information Systems Technology, or equivalent experience in a business/technical environment + Coordinate and facilitate meetings on specific projects work with the business, analytics and development teams. + Strong technical writing skills in BRD, FRD, Data specifications. + Develop and Maintain team documentation of Plan data reports, data mapping document and business process flow diagrams. + Assures the comprehensiveness and accuracy of documentation delivered to sufficiently support recommended actions. + Ability to manage concurrent multiple tasks and projects. + Knowledge of Clinical Care Management and claims processing is preferred. + Experience with JIVA, Facets or any configurable Healthcare systems experience in two or more of the following modules: Clinical Care Management, Claims, Members (Eligibility) and/or Providers.
