Chainlink Labs is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate General Counsel to join our legal team. This transactional-focused role will involve supporting the Go-To-Market team, leading and negotiating agreements, and contributing to the growth and success of Chainlink Labs.

The ideal candidate will have exemplary drafting and negotiation skills, a keen interest in learning about emerging blockchain technology issues, and the ability to adapt to our evolving business needs. Objectives of this Role

  • Leading negotiation of complex commercial transactions for a fast growing technology company.
  • Inheriting and further systematizing user agreements, ecosystem partnerships and collaborations, and drafting and negotiating key agreements to ensure consistency and efficiency in our business.
  • Collaborating with cross-disciplinary colleagues to provide comprehensive legal support to various internal stakeholders, including management.
  • Presenting effective solutions and driving efficient negotiation processes with the Go-To-Market team and our counterparties, ensuring successful outcomes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Exemplary drafting and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully navigating bespoke agreements.
  • Demonstrated interest and aptitude for learning about complex technologies and associated legal issues.
  • Willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of our growing business, demonstrating flexibility and agility.
  • 8-10 years of in-house or law firm experience in transactional or M&A work.
  • Strong academic record and relevant work experience demonstrating expertise in transactional legal matters.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior blockchain experience, demonstrating familiarity with the unique legal considerations in the blockchain industry.
  • Previous experience in-house within a transactional role, highlighting your ability to provide strategic legal advice in a corporate setting.
  • Prior experience building a legal team, showcasing your leadership and management capabilities.

This role is location agnostic anywhere in the world, but we ask that you overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
